About Coaching

The most effective Career Coaching reflects an individual, comprehensive process for professional development and transformation as designed jointly with the client.  Your customized program of services, strategies, and tools will include a personal plan of support that reflects your unique circumstances and responds to new challenges along the way. An effective plan of action has clear goals, yet remains flexible enough to respond to new opportunities and adjust to your ongoing needs for self development, encouragement, and personal support.

Results focused coaching means that we always know what we are “working on” while we actively develop and reach toward your realistic, achievable and high impact goals.  Prioritizing, creating action plans, and awakening your motivation for personal success is built into every session to ensure that we consistently employ tools and techniques that are ideally aligned with realizing your intentions.

A typical coaching plan of support includes weekly 60 minute individualized in person sessions with email support between appointments.   With short and long term goals as our guide, each session is tailored to meet your immediate needs and long term objectives.  Sessions may involve problem identification and resolve, brain storming, skill development, clarification exercises, evaluating “homework” assignments or online assessment results, overcoming personal blocks or identifying self defeating behaviors, developing your best plan of action, or generating the personal motivation to make it over the next hurdle.

Areas of expertise and client focus include information, resources, tools and professional support to:

  • Explore and better define your professional competencies and objectives.

  • Develop and utilize a targeted, achievement driven resume.

  • Develop and implement your strategic job search campaign.

  • Identify and resolve personal or professional issues or blocks to success.

  • Prepare you to competitively interview, negotiate compensation, and evaluate offers.

  • Organize, prioritize, and manage your search using effective tools and techniques.

  • Focus on your strengths, release your fears, and stay motivated!
